Alcuni di voi sanno che lo scorso 1 settembre sono partita con due amici in barca a vela. Eravamo diretti a Itaca, l’isola di Ulisse, partendo dal Salento, la mia terra d’origine nell’estremo sud Est d’Italia. Purtoppo non abbiamo mai visto Itaca perché siamo tragicamente naufragati, nel cuore della notte, appena 24 ore dopo la partenza, sulla costa della prima piccola isola dove eravamo arrivati, Othonoi.
Qui non vi voglio raccontare la storia del naufragio. Basti sapere che noi tre stiamo bene e che siamo intatti. La nostra barca è andata perduta come anche la mia nuovissima fotocamera. Solo ieri ho riavuto le poche immagini che avevo scattato poco prima del disastro. Eccole qui.

Some of you know that, on 1fs September, I was leaving with two friends on a sailboat. We were headed to Ithaca, the island of Ulysses, starting from Salento, my homeland in the far south-east Italy. Unfortunately we have never seen Ithaca because we are tragically shipwrecked, in the middle of the night, just 24 hours after our departure, on the coast of the first small island where we had arrived, Othonoi.

Here I don’t want to tell the story of the sinking. Just know that the we are good and that we are intact. Our boat was lost as well as my new photo-camera. Only yesterday I recovered the few pictures I had taken before the disaster. Here they are.
