Yesterday I went to shoot the horses. I thought it was simple, the horses seem so calm, they are the undisputed and serene owners of the Icelandic space. But when the shot was ready the horses moved out of the frame. Again I moved the camera and again they went off. I finally decided to photograph them with overexposure, I wanted to respect their reticence to the image.

Ieri sono andata a filmare i cavalli. Pensavo fosse semplice, i cavalli sembrano così calmi, sono i padroni sereni e indiscussi dello spazio islandese. Eppure appena preparavo l’inquadratura i cavalli si spostavano e uscivano dal quadro. Ancora spostavo l’inquadratura ed eccoli di nuovo andare fuori campo. Alla fine ho deciso di fotografarli con una sovraesposizione, volevo rispettare la loro reticenza all’immagine.
